Built on collaboration, strengthened by community

As our business continues to grow, so does our opportunity to create a positive impact

Heartland Polymers was built on collaboration: people coming together with a shared purpose to create something meaningful and lasting. That same spirit extends beyond our operations and into the communities where we live and work. Whether it’s lending time to local organizations, participating in community clean-ups or sharing expertise where it’s needed most, every contribution helps strengthen the communities we’re proud to be a part of.

In recognition of National Volunteer Week in Canada, Heartlanders took part in a volunteer takeover day, dedicating their time and energy to support organizations in the communities surrounding our Heartland Petrochemical Complex.

Alongside colleagues from Heartland’s parent company, Inter Pipeline, more than 60 volunteers rolled up their sleeves to support five valued community partners in the Strathcona County area: A Safe Place, Linking Generations, Kids Kottage Foundation, the Strathcona Food Bank and the Strathcona Boys & Girls Club.

From baking and preparing meals, to building care packages for seniors and painting and cleaning the spaces that support families in need, each volunteer made a meaningful difference.

“At Heartland, our belief in better extends to all aspects of our business, including our commitment to being a responsible neighbour and community partner. As a local resident, I’m proud of our team for demonstrating that commitment by showing up, lending a hand and helping strengthen the communities where we not only operate, but we also call home.”

– Kimberly Benedict, VP Heartland Operations

As Heartland Polymers continues to grow, so does our opportunity to create a positive impact. Giving back to the community is an important way we live our values, strengthen relationships in our operating areas and contribute to a more connected and resilient future.
