The team behind Heartland Polymers proudly shared its first Impact Report highlighting the significant social, economic and community benefits delivered as the Heartland Petrochemical Complex nears the final stages of development.
With its world-scale manufacturing centre located in Strathcona County, Alberta, Heartland is truly a Made-in-Alberta success story thanks to the hard work, passion and team spirit our amazing partners brought to this project. As the complex becomes fully operational in 2022, it represents a major achievement as North America’s first integrated PDH/PP facility projected to produce the lowest GHG emissions of any comparable plant globally. Our team is proud to work every day to prove that better is possible, here’s just a few examples:

With a “local first” approach to construction and development, ~75 per cent of the total project spend has remained with local businesses. But the real Heartland story is about helping communities and individuals grow and thrive. Our team of dedicated workers at Heartland not only live and work in the Heartland area, they also believe in actively giving back and supporting their homes.
